Who we serve

Manchester Extended Day treatment programs (EDT) is located at the Community child Guidance clinic at 317 North Main Street in Manchester, CT  The program provides a structured therapeutic environment for children ages 5-12 residing in Manchester area.

What we offer

The Manchester EDT program offers a structured therapeutic environment during after school hours.  The EDT program hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  EDT has a behavior management system with daily activities.

Programming includes art activities, physical activities, filed trips, group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and parent workshops.

Our focus

The focus of EDT is to stabilize children and their families in their community.  Through therapy and a behavior management system, children and families develop individualized goals.

During the six month program, the child works on these individualized goals and learns to be part of a group.  A consistent message of conflict resolution and expressing feelings appropriately is given daily.
