School based services are provided to help promote healthy and positive behavioral and social-emotional development for children and their families. Through this program, we have been able to reach large numbers of children who might not otherwise have made use of clinic services.
In several Manchester public schools, Community Child Guidance Clinic (CCGC) is providing mental health services to children and providing mental health consultation to both parents who come into the school and to school staff. This program has been a cooperative effort made possible by the Superintendent of Schools, staff at each of the schools with whom we are involved, and in particular the school social workers and psychologists with whom we work collaboratively. Pease contact Anisa Cole, LCSW for more information at ACole@ccgcinc.org or (860) 643-2101.
CCGC also provides part-time social work services to four Manchester parochial schools, through a grant by the Manchester Board of Education. The parochial school social workers meet with students and work collaboratively with parents and school staff. Pease contact Robin Entress, LCSW for more information at REntress@ccgcinc.org or (860) 643-2101.
