Internships

The Community Child Guidance Clinic prides itself as a training site for students looking to gain experience in children’s mental health assessment and therapeutic services.

Community Child Guidance Clinic serves as a training site for masters level students who are looking for clinical practice experience in the children and families mental health field, as well as speech and language pathology. In our highly-collaborative work environment, interns are treated as members of the team, and have various opportunities for involvement in additional agency and community-related activities. Selected students are provided both individual and group supervision by a licensed professional in the field, and they also have opportunities to be exposed to Evidence Based Practices offered by certified trainers within the agency. Interns will be treated as “clinicians-in-training,” and can expect to be given a caseload that is sensitive to their needs as a student, but also provide some exposure to the expectations of a mental health agency.
