Who We Are

Who We Are

Overview

Since 1959, CCGC has provided children and families throughout Connecticut with a comprehensive range of mental health, educational, and support services. Our offerings include a therapeutic day school, outpatient therapy, home-based services, an intensive outpatient program, group therapy, trauma-informed care, and school-based psychiatric evaluations for students with emotional or behavioral needs.

We serve children, adolescents, and families facing a wide variety of challenges. Our clinicians, educators, and support staff work collaboratively to provide individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic methods.

CCGC offers flexible care settings: from outpatient visits and in-school supports to home-based services and our own structured school environment. This flexibility enables us to meet families where they are and tailor care to each child’s and family’s unique needs.

At our core, we are committed to promoting long-term wellness, academic progress, emotional growth, and community stability. We aim to help children build resilience, develop skills for success, and access consistent support so they can reach their potential.

A Message from CCGC's CEO

Dr. Jamie Bellenoit: CCGC's CEO

Welcome to the Community Child Guidance Clinic! For almost 70 years, we have been here for children and families, creating a caring place to receive support, build skills, and find hope in little ways. Our team brings deep expertise, empathy, and a shared commitment to helping every child who comes through our doors thrive. We know that when kids feel understood and supported, they can overcome obstacles and discover their own strengths. As you explore our site, we hope you’ll get a true sense of who we are: a community of professionals who care deeply about the people we serve, and who show up each day ready to make a difference.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our work. It is a privilege to serve this community and to partner with families on their journey toward healing and growing! It is my honor to be the CEO and lead such a wonderful team.

Warm regards,
Dr. Jamie Bellenoit, CEO
