Changing lives through help and hope, one child at a time.

OUR SERVICES

Community Child Guidance Clinic is the leading provider of mental health and trauma-informed treatment and training — all focused on children and their families. Combining culturally-relevant, individualized intervention and prevention with patience and nurturing, our clinicians are able to help families increase their sense of confidence, acquire new skills for supporting their child’s special needs, and accesses the necessary resources to build a supportive community network. CCGC’s comprehensive services are also designed for children affected by traumatic experiences such as sexual and physical abuse, witnessing violence, or the death or loss of a loved one.

Using the most advanced therapeutic methods and Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs), our innovative programs help children grow to lead full and productive lives within their communities.

  • The clinic provides a range of diagnostic and treatment services on an outpatient basis. Outpatient therapy is provided to children and their families for a variety of presenting concerns.

  • The Community Child Guidance Clinic offers psychiatric services. Carlos Gonzalez, M.D. is the Medical Director of the clinic. Psychiatric services are available to all clinical programs and include both psychiatric evaluations and the prescription of psychotropic medications as indicated.

  • North Star IOP provides an intensive, time limited treatment, for children ages 5 to 12, who are struggling with behavioral, emotional, and social needs. The program provides structured clinical support within a therapeutic group milieu. The treatment is individualized, provided by a multidisciplinary team and supervised by a child psychiatrist.

  • Our Intensive Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS) provide help to families dealing with children who have significant psychiatric needs and are at risk of requiring out-of-home care. Ideal for those who need more support than traditional outpatient services can provide.

  • The Community Child Guidance Clinic offers group therapy for children and families at both of our sites. Group therapy is offered to reach the varying needs of our community.
